Call for Abstracts

2008 Showcase in Nursing Research Excellence

Hawkins-Adams-Long Hall of Honor

            This conference is designed to showcase creative nursing practice, education, and research that are conducted at Troy University and the surrounding communities. The goals are to share ideas, impart practical knowledge, and provide fellowship for nursing research. This conference is open to all members of Sigma Theta Tau and other interested nurses. The conference will feature both paper and poster presentations.

 A prize of $50 will be awarded to the student poster that best meets the criteria of sharing and imparting practical knowledge of nursing research. The prize will be equally divided among all authors of the winning poster

 Selection: Abstracts will be blind reviewed for clarity, significance and relevance. Notification of acceptance will be made by February 1, 2008.

 Guidelines for submission:

1. Abstracts should be submitted electronically and follow APA (5^th ed.) requirements. Abstracts should be limited to 250 words.

2. The Abstract Form must be submitted without a name attached in order to qualify for a blind submission. Submitters of abstracts will be contacted by email for notification of acceptance
3. Abstracts should be completed by using the Call for Abstracts link found on the Troy University School of Nursing’s webpage: http://prism.troy.edu/~stt/call_for_abstracts.htm
4. When using the link to submit your abstract, you will also be asked to list 2-3 objectives for your paper of poster presentation as well as a brief biographical sketch.
5. All abstracts must be submitted no later than January 18, 2008
