my days are spent working with children trying to make life long readers out of them. If I am not working with the children I am doing training programs for staff. A lot of people want to know why I became a librarian they think the job is boring but quite the contrary; everyday brings a new adventure. I love working with the kids and with the young adults. I could have become a teacher but I have more latitude in how I run programs for the kids; I don't have to follow a stringent curriculum. It is all worth while when you receive letters from the kids. Here is a letter I received last year from the students at Christmas; it's a little blurry but I hope you can see it.

of librarians which makes the job more interesting and enjoyable.
