My name is Samantha Akinnubi. I am originally from Leslie Georgia. I live currently in Albany Georgia. I am pursuing a graduate degree in Instructional Technology through distance learning to enable me cope with family responsibilities, work and still continue to improve myself. My goal is to acquire enough skills and knowledge to administer, train and provide support on WEBCT or any other distance learning system. In the alternative, I love to teach or assist in the area of Instructional Technology in schools To the extent that I am fascinated by DL research, I am more interested in emerging Technologies in Distance Learning. I received scores in specific areas of the test and by and large the scores were not too far from my expectations. From the scores, I intend to pay more attention to one or two areas of weakness reflected on the test. This, I hope will better my chances of being a great teacher to my students.

For many years, I have taught within the Dougherty County School system. At the completion of my program at Troy, I intend to seek for instructional technology position with Albany.  

I am happily married with four children. It has been a wonderful fourteen years of my life. My husband is from Africa and I cherish the relationship I have developed with my in-laws in Africa. God willing, I pray that I have the opportunity to touch people, serve and make a difference in my community. It is not by chance that I am taking this class with my current classmates. Hence I hope to maximize the opportunity of knowing them to the extent that the class permits.
