Cynthia Parnell is majoring in Broadcast Journalism at Troy University. She is married to Derek Parnell, and they have two incredible children, Hunter and Hayley. Prior to attending Troy University, Cynthia worked in Information Technology for Kforce, Accenture, Arthur Andersen and EQ Services. She also attended Christian Life College in Stockton, Calif., where she obtained her Associates in Theology.

Cynthia’s maiden name is Garcia and she was born in Denver. She has lived from coast to coast including: Colorado, New Mexico (summers only), California, Indiana, Illinois (if staying 3-4 nights per week for one year counts as living there) and Alabama. Cynthia has visited 41 of the 50 United States and has also enjoyed traveling abroad.
