For every victory there is a problem.Philosophy of Education

My philosophy of education is based on the premise that all students can learn and be successful. I believe that it is important to create a safe and positive classroom atmosphere that is conducive to learning. This can be achieved through effective classroom management and positive reinforcement. As a teacher I strive to identify the learning styles of my students. In order to meet the individual needs of the students, I implement a variety of instructional methods and strategies. I am aware of all the “political and educational” terminology such as PL221-No Child Left Behind, balanced literacy, and meeting state standards. However, I have discovered that if you teach from your heart and not solely from the textbook you will meet these requirements. You must reach the student before you can teach the student!
